OVERVIEWYour well-being, our expertise
All massage therapists registered in the province of Ontario are trained in perinatal massage, treatment of injuries (sports, traumatic, occupational), in swelling and post operative tissue rehabilitation, and in relaxation techniques.
RMTs study pathology, and learn to adjust massage techniques when contraindicated by certain conditions or medications. These health care professionals preapre a treatment plan to meet your needs. They also collect and update your health history to inform their treatment plan, and which will impact their care of you.
You can expect this expertise from any of the Registered Massage Therapists that you consult at our clinic.

Alex Pownall
Registered Massage Therapist
Alex is open for bookings, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning in March, 2022.
Graduating from the massage therapy program and Algonquin College, I have been a registered massage therapist with the CMTO since 2016.
I love working as a therapist; the detective-like nature of solving the cause of my clients’ issues, and how to best resolve them. My approach is to not only to help my clients resolve the issues that brought them in, but also to help identify the cause. I like to educate clients on the affected anatomical structures, and to work with them to find the best home care activities in order to prevent issues from returning, and that will promote good health. I have experience helping people in several capacities, including sports massage, deep tissue, fascial, relaxation, pre/peri natal, and some TMJ work.
I believe in good balance in all aspects of life — especially a good work/life balance — and focusing on stress reduction. Growing up in the farm country outside of Ottawa I have grown to love nature and outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, playing sports, camping, trail walking, etc.

Ashley Easterbrook
Registered Massage Therapist
A registered massage therapist with the CMTO since 2014, Ashley’s approach to the healing process is that it’s a continuous and creative journey that changes with each person and their own personal experiences. Her goals are to help act as a facilitator for her clients, to guide and help them regain their health through massage therapy by using cupping therapy, craniosacral therapy, and lymphatic drainage technique.
Ashley has treated clients with chronic pain conditions, postural imbalances, and scars, and who are postoperative, have nerve impingements, repetitive strains, or shin splints, and also for relaxation. She feels it’s important to listen to her clients’ goals and to tailor a treatment to meet those goals. She incorporates personalized home care in her methodology.
In her free time Ashley likes to find balance by meditating, practising yoga, painting and exploring the arts, hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
